Director of Community Engagement
MK Prophett
MK Prophett (they/she) is a Philadelphia based director, theatre educator, and performer. They were a member of the last graduating class of University of The Arts, receiving two BFA’s: One in Directing, Playwriting, and Producing and one in Musical Theatre. Since graduating, MK has been directing (Acute Exposure - The Lemonade Stand, The Wizard of Oz Kids - Quintessence Theatre Group) and educating (The Arden, Quintessence Theatre Group, Neshaminy Summer Stock) in many communities across Philadelphia and the surrounding areas.
Raised in a close knit community located in coastal Maine, she began theatre arts at the age of six. Through early access to theatre education, they were able to develop a deep respect for this craft, and the function it serves to our greater society. She strives to make art that has a measurable impact on the community it is presented to. Their art should serve their audiences in one of two ways: A mirror to their own experience, or a window to one they haven’t had. MK is absolutely thrilled to be a founding member of Make Good Theatre Company and can’t wait to get the good times rolling!
